General
Are guest players permitted?
Yes, the WIST allows four (4) guest players for U8-U14. High school divisions are allowed six (6) guest players. Be sure the combination of your rostered players and guest players do not exceed the maximum allowed under the WIST rules.
Can a player play on more than one team during the tournament?
The WIST does not permit players to play on more than one team in the tournament. Players are registered to one team for the entirety of the tournament. If a player plays on another team during the tournament, all of the teamís games played will be considered forfeits and the team will not be eligible for championship or consolation games.
Can a team play up an age group.
A team may play up an age group. If a team chooses to play up and the WIST bracketing team allows, they will play in the upper bracket of the older age group. example. An U11 team wants to play up an age group. They will be placed in the Upper division of U12
Can our team register at the field on Saturday morning?
Sorry...registration may be done in person on Friday evening or by E-registration ONLY. E-registration applications and questions should be emailed to wistregistrar@yahoo.com
Can our team use our own Medical Release Forms or do we have to use yours?
Certainly you can use your forms as long as they correctly identify the player, are current for the spring 2015 season. Medical Release Forms do not need to be notarized for the WIST.
Do you allow US Club carded teams?
Yes, we permit both USYSA teams and US Club teams. IMPORTANT: All players participating must be carded under the same govening body, including guest players. USYSA teams may NOT use US Club guest players, and US Club teams may not use USYSA guest players. No mixing.
How are games scheduled for out of town teams (more than 1 hour outside of Westlake)?
Efforts will be made to schedule out of town teamsí first games for late morning on Saturday to avoid a two night hotel stay. However, this effort is dependent on the number and locale of teams entered in this yearís WIST.
I am coaching for more than one team for my community. Can you schedule it so I don?t have to be in two places at once?
The Scheduling Committee will make its best efforts to accommodate coaches with this problem. Please make sure to indicate on your application if your coach is coaching multiple teams. When a coach has more then two teams we will not be able to make adjustments on all games please indicate the two most important teams to avoid conflicts for and we will make those a priority. It is impossible to avoid all conflicts but we do our best and make every effort to be fair as possible, however teams MUST make alternate coaching provisions in the event this request can not be honored.
The application form does not look right on my screen (overlapping drop down boxes, long rows over the input fields, etc.) What is going on?
First, you should let the ENTIRE form load BEFORE you scroll. It is a big form.

In short, your computer does not have enough memory (RAM) available to render the form correctly. Here is the solution that will work in most cases:

1. Clear the cache (temporary files) in Internet Explorer (Usually Tools>Internet Options>Remove Temporary files
2. Shut down Internet Explorer
3. Restart the computer
4. Open JUST MS Internet Explorer.
5. Go to Web site, fill out form.

In most cases, this will solve the problem....
